Pride & Prejudice & Zombies Movie in the Works

I recently reviewed Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, the zombie-classic literature mashup, and I loved it. (For my full review, click here.) Just a day after I posted my review, the Amazon blog Armchair Commentary posted an article about how much they loved the book, and that it was being made into a movie.

While I usually hate when books are made into movies, this could actually be very interesting to see. After all, Pride and Prejudice has been made into a movie several times, and zombie movies do very well. You get the right cast and the proper makeup and effects guys, and it should be decent, at worst.

The Armchair Commentary article asked who you’d like to see as the main characters, and put Natalie Portman in the lead role of Elizabeth Bennet. Personally, I’d prefer Keira Knightley – she’s already played Elizabeth in a “normal” version of P & P, but she’s also very capable of playing tough girl roles like Domino.
