Nook Sightings at Barnes & Noble

The first Nook sales stands have started showing up in New York City Barnes & Noble stores, according to Gizmodo. The stands look very Apple-like to me – very clean design, vibrant advertising materials. However, the Nooks at the stands aren’t real demo versions, but simply plastic mockups.

The Barnes & Noble Nook will be released November 30th, and according to an email I received from Barnes & Noble it will ship to customers December 7th.

I’m definitely going to take a trip to my local Barnes & Noble this afternoon to see if they’ve started preparing an area of their store for the Nook. I tried once before, but all they had were pamphlets about the Nook.
