• “iPhone App and Kindle Stores are Bigger Than YouTube” – The Business Insider – This fascinating little chart shows the estimated revenue numbers for the Kindle Store, the iPhone App Store and YouTube, and the results may not be what you’d expect.
• “Samsung Shows Off Video-Capable E-Paper Prototype” – Engadget – While Amazon’s Jeff Bezos has been telling consumers for a year now that color e-ink is several years away, Samsung has a neat little prototype of not only a color e-ink screen, but one that can do video. It’s very much in the early prototyping stages, and from the small picture included with the article you can tell the video is grainy at best, but it’s a start.
• “Txtr Brings Social Networking to E-book Readers” – HottestGadgets.com – A new e-book reader wants to bring social networking to e-reading. They say e-books are not just for reading, but “also for sharing, recommending and rating e-books.”
