Kindle 2 News Roundup

The release of Amazon’s Kindle 2 has resulted in a flurry of news articles and reviews of the device. You can read my first impressions of the device and I’ll have a more thorough comparison of the original Kindle and Kindle 2 up soon. For now, check out these great articles from other sites:

• The New York Times – “The Kindle: Good Before, Better Now” – The Times reviews the new device saying, “Amazon calls it the Kindle 2, but Kindle 1.1 would be more like it; the changes are fairly minor. Fortunately, they’re exactly what was needed to turn a very good reader into an even better one.”
• Wired – “Kindle 2 Stripped Naked; Chip Is Faster Than iPhone’s” – Wired covers the disassembling of a Kindle 2 – turns out the Kindle has a faster chip than the iPhone.
