I Will Teach You to Be Rich Author Giving Away a Kindle an Hour Today

Ramit Sethi, the author of I Will Teach You To Be Rich, is giving away one Kindle every hour from 8am to 4pm Pacific time (11am – 7pm Eastern) to celebrate the release of his book. (Oddly enough, however, the book isn’t yet available for the Kindle.)

Details are available on his website, IWillTeachYouToBeRich.com. You enter by forwarding your order confirmation or a scan of your receipt of your purchase of his book to an email address given on the site. The winners of the Kindles will also each receive a $1,000 Amazon Gift Certificate (to fill the Kindle with books, of course).

While it’s an interesting promotion – giving away an e-reader to promote your book – I think it’s odd that the book isn’t available on the device he’s giving away. It’s also odd that you’re required to buy a physical copy of a book to gain entry to a contest to win an electronic book reader.
