Celebrity Kindle: Lauren Conrad

The newest celebrity to join the ranks of the Kindle owners is reality TV star Lauren Conrad. Conrad is famous for starring on The Hills, but has recently written a book for young adults.

USA Today reports that Conrad is an avid user of mobile technology, including the BlackBerry and the Kindle.

Conrad’s book – titled L.A. Candy and featuring a young girl that becomes a reality TV star – is being marketed in various mobile-centric ways. For example, if you take a picture of a barcode printed inside the book with your mobile phone, you’ll receive access to additional content like an interview with the author.
