Amazon Drops Kindle Price to $299

Amazon has decreased the price of the 6″ Kindle (what some are still calling the Kindle 2) from $359 to $299. This is good news for those that have been hesitant to buy the Kindle due to the high price, although $300 may still be too high for some.

The good news for customers who purchased one recently is that you’ll be getting the difference back. CNet spoke with an Amazon representative who confirmed that, “If the product was shipped within 30 days of purchase, customers are eligible to receive the price difference as a credit.”
