12 Days of Kindle, Day One – Win an M-Edge e-Luminator2 Booklight
Today’s 12 Days of Kindle giveaway is for an M-Edge e-Luminator2 booklight. The most frequent complaint I hear from non-Kindle owners is that it doesn’t have a backlight. To me, a backlight would defeat the purpose of the easy-on-the-eyes e-ink, but I do understand the need to read in the dark. For that, I recommend the M-Edge e-Luminator booklight.
This neat little light is designed specifically for the Kindle, and has a credit-card-like piece that slides under the Kindle while it’s in a case. It’s available for the 6″ Global or U.S. wireless Kindle

The Kindle is a great device, I love mine but haven’t picked up a light for it yet.
This little gem is on my most wanted toy list this year!
I have been longing for this light since I got my M-Edge Latitude Jacket (which I absolutely love).
I bought a cheap booklight at Walmart, and it is quite a pain to use with the Kindle–I’d love one that is meant for it!

I think Amazon completely underestimated the over-50 demand for the K2. The low contrast is a killer for that audience. I’m not there yet, but I will need a light before long.

Backlights for my Kindles have never been an issue for me. No paper book I have ever owned has had its own light. I have always read with book lights which I purchased for night or dim light conditions. They work with the Kindle, too.

I agree that having the Kindle back-lit would detract from the over all experience. The e-ink is one of my favorite features about the Kindle!
I absolutely love my Kindle. I have a book light but it is bulky and doesn’t work well with my cover. A light made to work with my Kindle and cover would be awesome!

Although nothing beats sunlight for reading on my K2, this light is a very good alternative.
I immediately got one when the new redesign was released, and I have to say, I’m quite impressed! I tested this light in complete darkness and moderately lit rooms. Wow, what a difference this makes to the K2 screen.
I love that it fits in my M-edge Platform cover and that I can position it virtually any way I need it. And it even rotates to some degree!
I’d love another one for the second Platform cover I’ll be getting.

I got my Kindle last week, and love it. But with my old eyes (I’m 72) I need something for reading in dim light. Winning this would light up my life.
